Three omens of battery power shortage

In order to minimize the power consumption of the battery, Jiang Jijian put forward two suggestions: first, it is necessary to avoid turning on the lights or listening to the radio for a long time when the engine is off; second, even if the engine is running, if the parking time is long, it is also necessary to turn off the power supply of unnecessary electrical equipment (lights inside and outside the car, sound, navigation, etc.).

Countermeasures: connect the rescue vehicle battery three points for attention

When the battery is out of power, the pusher starting is the most familiar and effective emergency starting method, but it is a forced means and can not be used frequently, because it has certain damage to the engine and clutch. In particular, automatic transmission vehicles should avoid using this method to start.

Jiang Jianji reminded that in case of sudden battery failure, it is correct to contact the rescue vehicle, then connect the jumper cable, and temporarily charge the vehicle to start the engine. "In order to avoid that the battery can't be charged when it's dead, the car owner should prepare a jumper cable in the car, which can be bought in general auto parts stores."

When connecting the jumper cable, the connection sequence of the jumper cable must not be mistaken: first, connect the positive terminal of the dead battery with the positive terminal of the rescue vehicle battery, and then connect the negative terminal of the rescue vehicle battery with the metal part (ground wire) in the engine room of the dead vehicle. After the jumper cable is connected, the engine of the rescue vehicle can be started, and the engine speed can be slightly increased. After about 5 minutes, the battery without power can be charged in emergency. After charging, remove the jumper cable in the reverse order of connecting the jumper cable.

Special reminder: pay attention to four details during emergency charging

There are four details that should be paid special attention to when emergency charging the battery. "Otherwise, fire, explosion, burns and other major accidents may be caused." Jiang reminded.

First of all, the negative terminal of the rescue vehicle must be connected with the metal part in the engine room of the vehicle without electricity, if it is directly connected with the negative terminal of the battery without electricity, it will produce sparks; second, when connecting the jumper cable, it must not let the positive terminal and the negative terminal contact, otherwise it will also produce sparks; third, do not get close to the battery when charging. Because the battery liquid contains dilute sulfuric acid and may be ejected, if it is sprayed on the eyes and skin, it will cause damage. In case the liquid sticks to the body, wash it with a lot of water and go to the hospital for treatment. Finally, when connecting or removing the jumper cable, try to stay away from the fan, belt and other places as far as possible to avoid accidents caused by hands or clothes.
